“Did you see the new Iphone Johnny got yesterday?” Fred asked. Fred loved the newest things, always, but he couldn’t often afford to buy them. His phone was a three year old Samsung with a badly scratched screen.
“No. Was it nice?” his wife replied, although she really couldn’t care less about the latest phone. Really, she thought to herself, I wish he would stop talking about stuff. Men!
“Oh, yes. My God, I wish I had one, too. You should see the screen on that thing! Did you know you can use the Internet and that a data plan is only 50 dollars a month?” He looked up to see his wife’s reaction.
But Fred’s wife had gone into the kitchen to make supper and didn’t hear him at all.
“Sheesh!” Fred exclaimed. “I wonder what’s bothering her?” He went back to reading his paper, but was distracted by thoughts of his neighbour’s new car.

In a family part, Rita asked John, “We are planning a trip to Europe this November. Can Ruth come with us?”
John replied loudly, “That’s no problem. Ruth has been travelling alone many times, and I have plenty experience to take care of my two girls.” John prompted, “How much will it cost?”
“About seventeen hundreds.” Rita answered.
John urged, “Does the price include everything? It shouldn’t have such high price in this season.” He suggested, “You should negotiate with the travelling company to get a better price, or maybe you can arrange three or four ladies in a room to save the hotel expenses.”
Rita said, “Before I make the final deal with the travelling company, I must make sure how many people can come.”
After Rita walked away, John spoke to Ruth secretly , “I don’t think Rita’s husband can be so generous as me.” - 147 words
Last week, Sara and her husband Johnny, went to IKEA to buy new things for their kitchen. Suddenly Sara said, “Hey have you seen her?”
“No, what are you talking about?” asked Johnny.
“Did you see that woman that just passed right by us? She said she looks pretty and has a nice body, but I think she is just too proud and trying to show off. What do you think?” Sara said.
“No, I actually think that she is an intelligent woman,” replied Johnny.
Sara then said, “Oh come on! Look at her outfit; it looks like something that used to wore in the 5th century. Is that right?
Johnny looked at Sara with his eyebrows raised, and said, “No, don’t exaggerate. She seems to be a chique and classy person.”
Sara stopped, looked at Johnny and said, “So you like her?”
“Yes of course I like her. She is pretty, but I think you just have bad taste in what is really beauty,” replied Johnny.
This is when Sara got mad and said” Fine! Let’s go home, and we can come back later.”
“Why? Wait! Let’s get our stuff first,” said Johnny all surprised.
“No, we can get our stuff later. I do not feel well right now. Come on, let’s go,” said Sara and then walked off.

“Joseph changes car every year,” John said. However, he drives his BW car very fast, and he plays music very loudly all the times. “Well, may be he loves music,” one of John’s friend replied. “That’s no good, though.Don’t you think that he shows off?” John asked. “I don’t know,” John’s friend answered.
“If I get money to buy a car, I’ll drive very politely, and give everybody respect. I’ll low my music’s sound in my car, so I’ll not intend to bother any person in the road,” John said.
Next time, I’ll tell him not to swagger with his car. Therefore, there are many BWs in the city, so he should stop showing off because nobody cares, John thought.
His friend went to work, and John sat down at the bus station putting his two arms on his cheeks.
“I want a Christmas tree.” My son moaned. “Laureemae has one already.”
“It’s still early.” I said.
“I won the pumpkin pie and apple. They didn’t. I am the number one.” He said bitterly. (In a run competition in the kindergarten, he won the prize. He was very proud of that.)
He always asks for something that the other kids have already. Most of time, I told him that I had a plan to spend money. I just buy something that he needs. Some times he doesn’t want to listen, especially for the Christmas tree. Maybe I should buy one for him now.
“Ok, I will buy one for you. Remember, that’s because you are a good boy, not because the other kids have one already.” I said. “For example, you eat and dress up by yourself, you practice keyboard everyday.”

“I will buy one for your next birthday.” IRIS said softly.

IRIS did not reply to her. When she turned round to pay the bill, the little girl threw her teddy bear to the ground, and tried to grab her brother’s new watch.
“Mammy, look sister!” the son shrieked.
Suddenly, all the customers’ eyes focus on them. IRIS carried her daughter and held her son to get out of the store immediately.

Sara was angry, but she tried to watch the pictures one by one unemotionally. Sara asked “IF you saw her before me, did you get marred with her?” Tom replied shrewdly “IF I was sure she was not jealous got married with her, “and continued “of course I did, but not because of her beautiful lovely face.”
HE hugged Sara and said “I m kidding, you are one of the most beautiful woman in the world.”
Merry had a two-year-old daughter Jin and married David to form a new family. After a few years, another daughter, Grace, was born.
One Sunday afternoon, the atmosphere is weird in the house.
“Why do you dress my brand new T-shirt to go hiking and mess it up like this? It costs a fortune!“ Jin shows the T-shirt in front of Grace and yells.

Grace takes a glance at Jim apathetically, “Father spoils me. What about Mother? You are the only valuable child in her eyes. I seem to be a stranger to her.“ Jim is unable to utter a word in self-defense.
She realizes that Mother’s cherish comes from the truth that no one in the family care about her.
When Merry hears Grace’s words, she says,” Both of you are mother’s daughters. I love, care and cherish you two even and equally.” Then she goes to kitchen with silent sob.
“Hi Kim. How come you are so early?” Quinn asked.
Kim said, “Oh, you don’t know Ravi gave me a promotion.”
“That means you became a team leader. Am I right?”
“Yes”, Kim answered.
“Ravi liked my work too, but I don’t have time. As you know, a team leader has many responsibilities. But I don’t care. I am surprised why he didn’t give this position to Dory,” Quinn continued
“I didn’t know,” Kim answered.
“Are you going to make more money?” Quinn asked. “Not that I care about that either.”
