Poetry, with laser-like efficiency, penetrates more deeply into my heart than any other literature. I love its unique ability to make me feel. Reading two or three poems a week is a balm for my soul. Without poetry, my life would be barren, my spirit unfed.

I grow fond of poetry with advancing years. I just began to have a sense of appreciation for the beauty of poetry. The more I chew its cud, the more I ruminate on each word; gradually, I take pleasure in the taste of poetry. Poetry is a challenge to me for sure.

When I were a little girl, the ancient classic poetry is the window I felt the beauty of the world; When I grew up as a teenager, the new style poetry is the fragrant flower full of romantic emotion; When I encounter the setbacks, the long narrative poetry nourishs my effete heart. Poetry is a symbol of life.

To be honest, I don't like poetry because it looks like cube sugar to me and difficult to understand its meaning. If I try to enjoy a poem, it takes times to melt and get a real taste and sometimes, I never get the idea for the life of me. I am impatient and have seldom breadth of mind as a lame excuse of everyday life pressure. For all that, my arid soul desperately need for poem as a spring water. (68 word)

Bittersweet
Poetry as always been a bittersweet for me but at some point the gentle words that come out are sweet but the thought in my mind and the words that whisper to my soul that’s a different side of me. Some poem leads my heart to fantasy land.

What I love about poetry is that it is stripped down to the absolute essence of a thought or feelings. Poetry is an expression of emotions. Reading poems wakes me and it takes me to a good land. My experience with poetry is very little. I love poetry! 48 words

Poem

An unexpected experience in my literature class was to memorize a poem and knowing the meaning of it. It was my first time mesmerizing, but somehow I did it; I had to know the meaning of the poem which was the hardest part. I understood poems are beautiful if I know the meaning.
