Here I am
Love walking, wind in my face, down rainy winter sidewalks, stirring steaming soup pots on the stove, reading a new story beside a lake at sunset, kissing both cheeks (women’s and men’s) like the Italians do, the feeling you get when your pie turns out perfect.
Loved the hubbub of a small house filled with children, but now my nest is empty. Loved to ski the loop trail up at Cypress, but gave my skis away long ago.
Look at life as a tree standing a thousand years in the coastal forest; in fifteen minutes a logger can lay it down.

Love waking up my daughter every dawn, cooking favorite Chinese food for them all, driving on a busy road and ignoring red flowers and white snow (but enjoy taking a picture if I could), listening to classical music from the channel 330, the feeling you get when you realize what a home likes.
Loved traveling with my old colleagues, but had to leave and settle here. Loved being a teacher, but must change the career as a new.
Look at life as a machine; turn round and round from fast to slow and is replaced at an unpredictable future time.

Love spending time with my kids, watching them play and answering their innocent questions, helping them every single moment (but enjoy being tired at the end of the day), the feeling you get when you end up your day perfect.
Loved remembering past college days, but have no desire to travel back in time. Loved traveling around the globe, but decided not to spend money in vein.
Look at life as a river flows smooth and rough from years in a winding valley; that is unpredictable in advance. It flows on until it touches its destination.

Love walking around the park on a sunny day talking with my husband, watching my daughters’ peaceful faces when they are sleeping, (but nowadays they come back home late), listening to music in the comfortable sofa after finishing one day’s work, the feeling you get when you realize your mother always stays on your side.
Loved chatting with my mom, but it is only possible in my dream now. Loved skiing, but now know it is dangerous for me and don’t do it anymore.
Look at life as a long drama; play each role as an actor.

Love sitting on the wooden bench with a cup of coffee in my hands, shivering with crispy air above the winter blue sky (but without scattering snow), walking along the path besides stream, thinking about years later what I’ll do, the feeling you get when you are almost there after timeless effort.
Loved daydreaming to escape from sadness, but now face sadness turns into happiness forever. Loved leaving for new town without looking back, but here tried to leave a footprint where I was.
Look at life as a four season; spring, summer, fall and winter then repeat.

Look at life as a journey, whatever happens, I am grateful to all that I have been given.
