A Favourite Line, Idea, Image
Without naming the poet, choose a favourite line, idea or image from the list poems presented today. Write no more than 50 words (not including the excerpt chosen).
"I prefer to keep in mind the simple truth that recognizing ignorance is the essence of a knowledgeable person" because to me, it is an ideal concept of wisdom through life-changing experiences as individuals go through hardships to evolve as better persons.
“I prefer keeping in mind we are born with what makes us extraordinary.”
So positive and so true, the line reminds me of something I see every day. The words resonate for me both as a teacher and a father. People are just born amazing and “extraordinary” aren’t they? Each person comes into life with a unique personality. That is the truth.
"I prefer holding this thought that simple things are what life’s about."
We should never forget this stanza. Now, when life is full of turbulence whirls, we often forget simple things that may make our life wonderful. We are crowded with needless things that make us unsatisfied and greedy. One simple smile or a small gentle world will do a tremendous effect on us and people around.
My favorite line is “I prefer not to ask what comes next and how” because I don’t like to worry too much about what comes next and how it going to be. As I’m always careful of what I do but sometimes I like to let things go with the flow. And at the end, we cannot control our destiny.
A line so simple, yet hard to follow through. Many people in this world would rather blame others to save face; I'm tired of calling all those people idiots. Being responsible for myself is a trait I cherish, and a trait I respect from others. ~45 words
“I prefer the absurdity of altruism to the absurdity of egoism,” is my favorite line. I’m always arguing with egoism and discrimination between humans. you can’t judge people Just based on their skin color, or religion, so it is better to be positive and benevolence first. (46 words)
“I prefer not to regret that mistakes were to record my journey.”
I prefer to argue that it’s not our successes that define who we are, but our failures. Accomplishments come and go, but failure, that’s forever. If it weren’t for that monstrous compendium of mistakes I’d made, I’d be a different person on a different path in life. Thus it seems to me that this line says the blatant truth.
“I prefer talking to teachers about everyday struggles.”
This is a good way for me to solve a problem. I have trusted in a teacher since I was young. A teacher stands for kind, caring, and knowledgeable. I feel a good teacher as my very close friend or my family members. Therefore, I will tell him or her about my difficulty. --53--
"I prefer keeping in mind we are born with what makes us extraordinary.” I just like this line because this line is a fact that everyone is aware of the meaning in my opinion. Also, to me it is unique and visible thing. Each person has his or her quality of different thing and different character.
Former adult teacher who loves island beaches. Happy homebody and family man; once devoted dog owner, now without Tashi, my Tibetan Terrier. I prefer the absurdity of the imagination to the absurdity of imagining nothing.
