I read two or three poems weekly and own more than 20 volumes of poetry. Often, poems speak more directly to my heart than stories do. I’ve written some good poems and encourage students by showing them good, modern poems and having them write one each term.

Poem has a magic language affects me. Although I like to read poem and memorize a lot in my mother language, I did not dare to read English poem. Finally, in communication 12 with Louise, I chanced to read five poems and dare to write once.

Poetry has always been an interest to me. Even though my writing skills are not very good, I still do enjoy the frequent writing or reading of other peoples work. Maybe it's because I can relate to what they are saying, or the fact that it's written from ones heart and soul, that it touches me whole heartily.

I love poetry very much. My mother land China has long history and splendid culture which left huge amount of exquisite ancient poems. Since childhood, we leaned many of popular and much relished ones. Poems usually are condensed, rhythmic, and beautiful as people say: “There is a picture in the poem”. English poems must be as elegancy as Chinese’s and with its language trait they must be trip off the tongue well. I am looking forward to learning English poems.

Poetry is a wonderful piece of art where writers express their ideas from what they fell, see or something that surround them. I had read some poems in Communication 12 classes. Some where simple and easy to understand, but when the writers express their ideas with complicate words I got lost.

Poem is used easy but fancy words to express various scene. In my native language, even twenty words can vividly describe a landscape. I was taught to recite a lot of poetry of the Tang Dynasty when I started to learn speaking. I am eager to learn Poem in English.(50 words)

My personal experiences with poetry have been mostly at school. In eleme4ntary schoool i had to write alot of poems, mostly haikus. In my opinion its fun and you get to tell your emoitions and feelings withwords. I like poetry because its learning another way to express your feelings. Thats my opinion on poetry.
