Vika's Group Work for October 3
Each student in the group is responsible for posting one short example. Group members are Lola, Claudia and Dunia.
In the story, when John Byro, the horse owner, gets his horse back, he immediately tells others that the horse was " strong than ever. Better-tempered, too". This action shows us Byro, being a kind person, who forgives other's hurt to him with a hamonious heart.
Saroyan mentions , as an example of the story setting, Walnut Avenue "at the edge of town"; and right away the picture of a long wide road with walnun trees band over on both sides pops up in our minds creating the first impression of the city.
William Saroyan portrays John Byro with specific characteristics as a new inmigrant.Byro reflects his loneliness when he decided to,"learn to speak Armenian";with this action he represents his homesickeness, but at the same time is showing respect to the Garoghlanian family.
Former adult teacher who loves island beaches. Happy homebody and family man; once devoted dog owner, now without Tashi, my Tibetan Terrier. I prefer the absurdity of the imagination to the absurdity of imagining nothing.
