Here I Am

Write your version of "Here I Am" here as a comment to this post. Remember to follow the format of my examples exactly (use the same punctuation and word forms etc.).

I will post my original, written in September of 2009. It was written for a class introduction exercise on this blog for English 12 students.

NOTE: Be sure to post your "Here I Am" here as a comment and not to "post" to the blog.
Remember to bring a copy on paper to class for your performance. Good luck!

Here I am:

Love eating a cherry tomato still hot from an August sun, walking through coastal forests full of leaning hemlocks, floating in a lake (while talking to a good friend beside me), chatting with my daughter over sushi, the feeling you get when everyone stands as one at a concert.

Loved my bicycle (obviously), but never ride it anymore. Loved my dog, but she died in mid-summer.

Look at life through a different lens now I’ve passed 50; see it now with both eyes wide open.

Here I Am
Love painting for loved one with black ink on the rice paper, sculpting for myself on the smooth soap stone, printing(print multiple copies) for ones who likes my work from etching copper plate, enjoying the piece of work and profound affection, the feeling that creation is telling me I am alive.

Loved the colors of fireworks in the sky, but now I don't like them anymore, they are too beautiful. Loved watching rainbow in the sky, but now I feel sad, it soon will be gone.

Look at life as a drop of paint; layered of brush strokes on the canvas.

Here I Am
Love driving “long drive” to Burnaby
Mountain, in my white BMW

Loved watching the beautiful scenery at night, (calm and quiet)

Looking the first growth of the silver moon; at the deep field of the night, on the road from surrey to Burnaby Mountain.

Smelling the tree blossom: the blossoms are breathing on all mountains, people are enjoying before their houses.

Talking to you, in our car world, feeling perfect when you are around
The solitude moon rising above, in the blue sky.

Reaching to the Burnaby Mountain, the shinny moon falls on all fours on the grass.

Here I Am

Love cooking Christmas dinners in my kitchen, immersing in the aromatic scent in my nostrils, indulging in the seamless union of colours, savouring the delicious journey (from the tongue tip to the expanding stomach), cheering to the joy of family and friends, capturing the happy times forever in my heart.

Loved feeding my baby daughter on a high chair, but she is now driving cars. Loved combing my mother’s white hair, but she is now gone.

Look at life as a meal of complex flavours; know that whether sweet or salty, sour or bitter, it is all an inevitable experience.

Here l Am

Love soaking a bag of 25 kg soybean into a big bucket
of water, waiting for the big double size, boiling it tenderly
(soft enough),making the boiled bean into the twenty solid
square shapes, hoping it dries well and ferments for the delicious soybean paste.

Loved my mom had provided me traditional home-made
soybean paste, soy source and red hot pepper; but now l
gave these to my daughter.
Loved merrily chatting and laughing through the telephone- line; but no more listened to mom's mellow
voice.

Look at life as an enemy of time,it gradually leads us
Into the final chapter.

Here I am

Love walking around the peaceful park early in the morning, taking a deep breath and smell the (flower and grass) makes me feel alive, hearing the beautiful birds singing, watching the gorgeous sun rising, feeling the freshness of the air.

Loved to wonder around the crowded mall and enjoy my time, but now there is no time. Loved to chat with friends and have fun, but they are too busy to entertain them, just like self.

Look at life as a time, goes by so fast, know that it only goes one way which is ahead.

Here I Am

Love walking beside a lake during sunset for a comfort, feeling the warm summer breeze on my soft face (takes my stress away), staring at the sunset reminds me to live freely, and looking at white and pink water lilies float over the lake relaxes my soul.

Loved the long walk around the clear blue lake with my loved one, happy times and good sunshine.

Loved the unexpected scent that came from the lake from the mountain, satisfies me more than anything else.

Look at life as Creativity; involves breaking out of established patterns in order to look at things in a different way.

Here I Am

Love thinking at the corner of dead end where to go, leaving from the sick and tired city of comparison and Contrast(who you are), turning back from city of pleasure and sinful nature, departing for the road of good hope as far as I can go, waiting for the joy of promise land like heaven to rest.

Loved the smile of witch women used to hang around, but she is far away.
Loved the horse play with my friend, but they are all gone with the wind.

Look at life as a journey ; now that I realize everything is changed from my choice.

Here I am

Love making my mother a cup of tea in the morning. Love watching her smile (without any word). She brightens the whole house, the smell of her food is irresistible specially her delicious apple pies.

Loved walking with her along the White Rock Beach, holding her hands just like how I use to when I was a child. Loved the cup of tea we had while walking at the sea shore.

Look at life as heaven with her next to me; the more I spend time with her the stronger I become, she is an angel from heaven.101 words

Here I Am

Love driving from highway of heroes in British Columbia to Newfoundland and Labrador for trans-Canada, crossing from Alberta through Saskatchewan to Manitoba to see plain wheat field, visiting to Ontario (Ottawa) for the capital city of Canada, Staying in European Quebec City for not separatism, including maritime provinces (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island), and also Yukon, Northwest territories, Nunavut.

Loved my mother country (South Korea), yet she is far, faraway. Loved walking around there; however, it is something memorable and nostalgic.

Look at life as nomadic wanderings freely with time: being here today, there yesterday--question marks tomorrow.

Here I am:

Love baking bread in an old-fashioned oven, watering the flowers on the balcony, walking through the park (with some busy squirrels beside me), chatting with my friends in a cafe, the feeling that all the world is peaceful when I sit in the library.

Here I Am
Love ruminating about the purpose of life, contemplating what might happen in the future, listening my favorite classical music, gazing at the sky with awe, the feeling you get when you are skeptical whether there is a god who is watching you all the time.
Loved playing chess, but now prefer mental calculation (I can square 4 digit numbers mentally). Loved studying hard science (math, physics, chemistry and biology) but now it takes a lot of time to do so.
Look at life as a compulsory covenant; live your live to the full, or commit suicide.
